Kylian Mbappe has announced his departure from PSG immediately after losing to Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals of the Champions League. This French star is already sitting on the seat of legend in the jersey of the League One club. He is the highest goalscorer in the history of the club. Before leaving the French club, however, there are reports of a breakdown in Mbappe's relationship with the owner.

Since the beginning of this season, there have been many whispers about Mbappe's future at PSG. Mbappe, 25, is out of contract with the League One champions this June. But this World Cup winner did not sign a new contract with the club. It was then understood that he was going to leave the club. Rumors linking his name with Real Madrid for several years were believed to be true.

 Mbappe has officially announced his departure from the club after being eliminated from the semi-finals of the Champions League. He announced his departure from the club by posting a video on social media before a league match against Toulouse on May 11. In that video message, Mbappe thanked many people including the supporters of the club. But nowhere in that post did he mention the name of club president Nasser Al Khelaifi.

 And in this, PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifir broke the relationship with Mbappe. According to the French media, in the wake of this incident, Khelaifi had a long discussion with Mbappe. At one point they even shouted at each other.

Mbappe was summoned ahead of PSG's Ligue 1 match against Toulouse, according to La Parisien. He asked Mbappe why the French star refrained from being named in the club's farewell message, where he thanked many, even the club's supporters.

 At one point, the personal interaction took a nasty turn and they were heard shouting at each other, the report said.

 The report quoted a source as saying that Mbappe and Khelaifi's altercation had escalated to such an extent that the walls could be heard rattling from the next room.

 Things got worse in PSG's 3-1 defeat at Toulouse. This was Mbappe's last match in PSG's jersey at home. As his name in the XI was being announced before kick-off, PSG fans at the Parc des Princes chanted Mbappe's name.

 PSG will play the last match of the season next Wednesday (May 15) at Nice. It remains to be seen whether Mbappe is played in this match.
