Big bad news for Bayern before the match against Real
Timing is different for both teams. Real Madrid learned last night that they are getting their 36th title in La Liga. On the other hand, Bayern Munich already know that they are missing out on the Bundesliga title after 11 consecutive years. No, at the same time yesterday they had to lose 3-1 to Stuttgart. Both these teams, however, will now focus on the Champions League match.
The two teams will meet at Santiago Bernabeu, Real's home ground, in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final on Wednesday night. Regardless of the results in the German Bundesliga, Bayern have maintained their performance at the European level. They played great football at home last week and drew 2-2 in the first leg against Real.
However, Bayern will miss the important star of the previous match, Rafael Guerrero, in the second leg of the semi-final. The Portuguese star came on as a substitute for Leon Goretzka in the first leg. He helped Bayern dominate the midfield as a substitute. Bayern, who was behind by 1-0 goals, also returned to the match thanks to Guerrero's defensive performance.
However, Bayern did not say how long Guerrero will be out of action. However, Bayern have a maximum of four matches remaining this season. They will play two matches in the Bundesliga. Apart from this, two matches have to be played if you want to go to the final of the Champions League. And if you go to the final, you will have three matches.
Rafael Guerrero is very successful as a wingback but also in midfield and as a winger. He played a big role in Bayern's win against Arsenal in the Champions League. He was also likely to feature in a Portugal jersey at the Euros at the end of the season.
