Two jewels of Indian cricket are returning to the field again
Rohit Sharma played a great role in India winning the T20 World Cup for the second time. He played brilliantly throughout the tournament. On the other hand, Virat Kohli gave India the capital to fight in the final. Both said goodbye to T20 after winning the trophy. After a break of more than a month, these two Indian batsmen are returning to 22 yards again with tomorrow's ODI series against Sri Lanka. The match will start at 3 pm on Friday in Colombo.
Rohit and Kohli have already reached Colombo to play the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka after the celebration of winning the T20 World Cup. They have been sweating since Tuesday. They completed practice under new coach Gautam Gambhir on Wednesday (July 31).
India won the T20 World Cup title on June 29 last year. Since then, Rohit and Kohli have been out of action for more than a month. The two of them were not in the series as they bid farewell to T20.
However, without these two batters, India gave the Lankans a bitter taste of whitewash by winning the series by 3-0. Along with Rohit and Kohli, Lokesh Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav and Harshit Rana, who are part of the team for this series, have gone to Colombo to play ODIs.
Earlier, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma last played a 50-over match against Australia in November last year. In ODIs, Kohli has 2 centuries and 3 fifties in his last 5 innings.
