Paris is going to be a part of history before the start. For the first time, the opening ceremony of the Olympics will be held outside a stadium. The grand event will begin with 160 boats in the open air parade on the river Seine. 94 of these boats will carry athletes. 10,500 contestants from 206 countries of the world are waiting to participate.
This river parade will be as long as 6 km from east to west. Starting from Austerlitz Bridge, passing two islands and ending in front of Trossadero. The organizers have been trying for 8 years to make the river Seine suitable for this event. This river will be used not only for the opening but also for two events.
Special stands have also been made for the spectators to witness the special event. More than 5 lakh people can enjoy this event. For which, of course, one thousand three euros must be added. However, it is possible to enjoy such events free of charge from the buildings along the banks of this river.
Heads of government of 120 countries will participate in the opening ceremony. However, the Olympic organizers are under fire because of the participation of Israeli athletes. Even though the maximum security measures have been taken, controversy has been raging around this sport even before the start. The mismanagement of the Argentina-Morocco match in football has also raised questions about the preparations of the hosts.
But controversies and mismanagement aside, Paris is ready for the opening ceremony. The weather forecast says that the organizers' efforts will be successful thanks to the excellent weather in Paris.
According to AFP news agency, the entire program will be organized in 12 parts. Where a total of 3 thousand dancers, musicians and entertainers will participate. Performers will be stationed on both banks of the river, bridges and nearby pillars.
The cultural, religious, gender and linguistic diversity of the host country will dominate the event. Speech practice will be avoided with importance in the performance. As a surprise, there is a part of the submarine floating from the river Seine.
