Spanish giant Real Madrid won the Super Cup by defeating Atlanta 2-0. Los Bancos have won the title for a record six times in the history of the Super Cup competition.
France's World Cup-winning star Kylian Mbappe, who made his Real debut, scored in Pollard's final in Warsaw on Wednesday (August 14). The other goal of the match came from the feet of Uruguay star Federic Valverde.
After a scoreless first half, Valverde put Real ahead with a goal from close range in the 59th minute. Ten minutes later, the anointed Mbappe doubled the lead. Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. each had an assist.
Brazilian star Rodrigo couldn't take advantage of a great opportunity to score.
Bellingham also missed two chances. However, he was able to assist Mbappe's goal. In the 83rd minute, Ancelotti replaced Mbappe with Brahim Dias. Bellingham and Vinicius were also picked up at the end.
But Real didn't have to think about winning.
Ancelotti's team will start their campaign to retain the La Liga title with a match against Real Mallorca next Sunday.
